Sometimes you know something in your business is not working as it should, but identifying the real cause is more difficult.
A sales problem may not be purely about sales. Cash flow pressure may be connected to pricing, margins or how the business operates. Growth can expose weaknesses that were less visible when the business was smaller.
DS Consulting Club's Business Diagnostics service provides an independent assessment of your business to help identify what needs attention, understand where issues may be connected and establish where you should focus first.
Business Diagnostics is designed for business owners who need greater clarity on what is happening within their business before deciding what to change, where to invest or what kind of support they need.

A Business Diagnostic looks across the key areas of your business to understand what is working, what may be holding you back and where different issues may be connected.
Depending on your business and the concerns you bring to us, our assessment may consider:
STRATEGY & DIRECTION
How clearly the business is positioned, where it is heading and whether current priorities support its objectives.
SALES & COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE
How the business generates revenue, converts opportunities and approaches pricing, customers and commercial growth.
MARKETING & POSITIONING
How effectively the business communicates its value, reaches the right customers and supports its commercial objectives.
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
The commercial picture behind the business, including revenue, costs, margins, cash flow and other indicators relevant to decision making.
OPERATIONS & PROCESSES
How the business works day to day, where inefficiencies or gaps may exist and whether current systems support the way the business needs to operate.
PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP
Roles, responsibilities, decision making and the leadership considerations that may be affecting how effectively the business operates.
The purpose is not to produce a generic scorecard. It is to develop a clearer picture of the business, identify the areas that deserve attention and understand which issues should be addressed first.

Every Business Diagnostic follows a structured process. The depth of the assessment will vary depending on the issue, the business and the level of diagnostic required.
1. Client Brief
We begin by understanding your business, what has prompted the diagnostic and the questions or concerns you want greater clarity on.
2. Assessment
We gather and review the information needed to investigate the issue. Depending on the scope, this may include further discussions with you, relevant documents, financial or commercial records, business materials and other information required to develop a clearer picture.
3. Diagnostic Findings
We bring the information together to identify what appears to be happening, where issues may be connected and which areas require attention.
4. Recommendations
Based on our findings, we provide practical recommendations, identify the priorities that should be addressed and highlight where further action or specialist support may be appropriate.
Some business issues are relatively contained and require a focused investigation. Others involve several interconnected areas or require a much broader assessment of the business.
Our Business Diagnostics are therefore available at different levels, allowing the scope and depth of the assessment to reflect the complexity of the situation.
Business Diagnostics are available at three levels depending on the nature of the concern, the areas involved and the depth of assessment required.

* Timeframes depend on the scope and complexity of the diagnostic, but generally speaking the above ranges provide an indication of what to expect.
Business Diagnostics identifies what is happening within the business, explains the findings and recommends what should be addressed.
The Business Diagnostic concludes with our findings and recommendations. Implementation, including the development of strategies, systems, processes or other solutions arising from the findings, is not included and can be scoped separately through our Business Consulting services.
Before purchasing a Business Diagnostic, we begin with a complimentary Discovery Call to understand what you would like assessed and determine the appropriate scope and level for your business.
